Attendance

Attendance at all band events is vital. There is no bench in marching band! The following are considered excused absences:

-Family medical emergency

-Doctor’s appointment (requires doctor’s note)

-Illness (requires doctor’s note)

All other absences are considered unexcused. Regardless of the type of absence, students must communicate all absences in advance via the Attendance Portal on the Richland Band website.

We understand that students lead busy lives. The most important thing to us is communication. We can work with you if we know about conflicts in advance.
